Sparrow House

2010 

Designed as a platform for living in and showcasing art, the house is raised up 1.5m above street level on a travertine base.  All the services are below, while all the celebrated spaces are above.  The house is designed to be as transparent and as simple as possible.  So that what you see is not the house, but the art and the life it supports.
