CDO House

2012

This house in Cagayan De oro is designed as a pavilion opening out into its surrounding gardens. Two volumes, a low volume that runs the length of the property and a tall volume that is inset midway, create the visual hierarchy between private and public spaces. Extensive glazing envelope the space letting in both light and views blurring the indoor and outdoor.  Using planks of wood for the wide-brimmed ceiling heighten the floating quality of the roof while the cast in situ concrete boldly reveal the structure within.
